Artists & Crafts Vendor Info

The Girdwood Forest Fair showcases hundreds of vendor spaces annually since 1975 and we are dedicated to selecting and supporting our unique vendors and their products. We welcome new and returning vendors selling Alaskan handmade art an products to apply via the below application and review the important details regarding vending at our fair.

Forest Fair booth spaces are intended for artists and craftsmen products only. Booth spaces are granted at the sole discretion of the Girdwood Forest Fair Committee.

Requirements for Craft Vendors:

All work must be hand-crafted by the artist! No pre-manufactured, screen printed, mass produced, or store-bought items allowed.

The GFF is a free to the public fair to promote Alaskan art and community and is reliant on t-shirt/merch sales through the official GFF T-Shirt Booth. NO PRINTED T-SHIRTS, LONG SLEEVES, HOODIES and DRINKWARE is acceptable to be sold through our craft vendors, we appreciate your understanding. Other handmade or hand dyed clothing items are accepted after passing the Craft Booth Application evaluation. Printed items such as art prints, photo prints and stickers are the only mass-printed items allowed.

The application requires craft vendors to complete a full description of all types of crafts to be sold – including those made by people sharing the booth space. For people sharing booths all additional vendor names must be provided on the application.

All applicants must submit photo samples of everything sold in the booth. The photos will be used to verify hand-crafted items for booth requests and booth assignments. We do not put like-vendors side by side; please submit photos via confirmation email so we can plan accordingly.

Booth spaces are drawn and allocated around a changing forest. While accepted applicants will receive and secure a booth space number, the specific location of that booth space may be subject to change. To maximize booth spaces for our talented vendors, the booth map may set certain locations 10′ or more off the trail to make paths accessible and spacious shopping coves for our patrons. In all cases, booth locations will be set back from the paved path.

The use of the name Girdwood Forest Fair in any iteration is reserved by the committee and incorporation of the Girdwood Forest Fair and Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

The Forest Fair Committee reserves the right to ask applicants to cease and/or leave if items for sale do not honor the request for HAND-CRAFTED (by the Vendor) items only or do not adhere to Forest Fair rules.

While we would like to offer a space and opportunity to every potential vendor, we do have limited space and therefore may select vendors that best diversify our fair. The Forest Fair Committee reserves the right to limit the number of vendors selling specialty items/services if there already are several others selling the same or similar product.

The Forest Fair Committee will not accept religious practices including fortune telling such as palm reading, tarot card readings or other supernatural practices or any form of religious proselytizing or distributing printed materials. We adhere strictly to our general rule of “No Religious Orders”.

No advertising or advocating for anything other than your own booth items and business. No broadcasting any sounds from booth spaces permitted as it interferes with scheduled Forest Fair entertainment.
