2025 Kid & Teen Booths are Full – We hope to see you in 2026!
Hello Prospecting Kids and Teen Vendors –
Reminder: Kids booths are not a full size 10×10. Please plan for a smaller space as available.
Child vendors aged 12 and under at the time of 2025 Fair will receive a free booth space based on availability and will be variable in size. Vendors should expect to set up with a 6ftft table but are NOT guaranteed a 10 x 10 standard booth space. We have several smaller booth spaces that can be made by tucking a table in between adult vendors throughout the fair. If you would like a 10×10 space for a 12 and under kid’s booth, you must apply for the teen booth for $150. Space is LIMITED and will fill up quickly. Please don’t expect a 10 x 10 space for a tent as there are very few available.
Teenage vendors between the ages of 13 – 18 can apply for a limited number of discounted Teen Booth spaces for $150. Please apply accordingly. Please refer back to the Artist & Craft Vendor Info for a teen booth information and application.
The child must work the booth and make ALL of the items to be sold – no adult crafts please. Help from the parents is allowed, but the idea is for the child to be a responsible entrepreneur.
Kids booths will be assigned based availability. PLEASE do not expect a 10’x10′ booth space.
Summary of Key Points for Kid Vendors – Girdwood Forest Fair
We have adjusted several of the guidelines to emphasize that this is a festival focused
on Handmade and Unique art. Remember, the root/goal of this festival is to showcase
Art and Artists. Kid booths are no exception to this idea.
Kid Booth Applications will be open March 1st to May 1st.
● Due to the overwhelming number of applicants for the 2024 Forest Fair, we are limiting
our number of Kid booths to 32.
● Applying no longer means you are guaranteed a spot. We will review applications as we
do with teen and adult vendors, and you will receive a confirmation within the first 2
weeks of May if you have been accepted. Please apply early for best results!
Booth Guidelines for Kids (12yo and Under):
● Kid Booth spaces are assigned a 6×6 ft space and will be fit in as the forest allows.
○ Rain coverings must be rated to the same fire-retardant standards as all other
booths.
○ We will do our best to situate booths near parents if they are also vending.
● Booth Tents MUST be of fire retardant material and MUST have the manufacturer label
sewn onto the tent. If it has been removed, the tent is not a valid structure for the event.
● Standard Tarps or other generally not fire-retardant waterproof covers may not be used
as siding when closing up your booth. Siding must also follow the Booth Tent
requirements.
● Booths should not have bright lights, loud noises, or loud music.
● Respect the forest setting: expect roots, trees, lumps, bumps, and other natural
elements. Plan to work around these issues. Shims are suggested for tables.
Important Rules:
● The Artist/Vendor MUST be on site and available during this event. You may not have
someone run this event for you. Breaks are necessary and the exception to being at
your booth.
● Kid Booths are for the children 12yo and under to share their art.
○ Parents caught making and selling the items for the kids will be asked to close
and lose the privilege for future fairs.
● If you are sharing a booth with another artist, they must be registered with us and not a
last-minute add-on. You may alternate who is manning the booth in this instance.
● Only handcrafted items are allowed; no pre-manufactured, mass-produced, wholesale,
or store-bought items, except for stickers/cards/prints featuring the vendor’s original
artwork.
● Vendors may not sell garment Tops (hoodies, t-shirts, tanks, etc.) unless approved and
entirely handmade (hand-sewn tunics, dresses, underwear, ponchos, kuspuks, etc)
● Vendors may not sell drinkware that is screen-printed or mass produced designs.
● Vendors may only sell the approved items they have disclosed on their application.
Conditional approval may be offered with suggested changes to items being sold, so
please read all emails.

consequences:
● The Vendor Coordinator will ask Once for the items to be removed from the booth and
not sold.
● First instance will incur a fine of $150 at the time of issue, to be paid immediately.
● Second instance will result in immediate closure of the booth and will be escorted out of
the event.
● Booths violating any of the rules of the GFF will lose returning vendor privileges.
